Food Vending Machine History
|
|
1970's -
During this time we introduced a hot food vending
machine. This hot food machine was unique, because it warmed the cans of
pasta, soups, stews, etc… Then when the customer would vend the canned
product, it would be at a desirable temperature to consume.

1979
-
The Wittern Group introduced it first carousel cold
food machine to the vending industry. This cold food machine was designed by
a company that we purchased from Vendo. This cold & frozen food vending
machine would deliver sandwiches, fruit, milk and much more through a small
selection door.

1980's
-
We manufactured a food machine that delivered a
plate of food through a carousel design. This provided flexibility for the
user to shop the cold food machine. This food vending machine provided larger
display space to merchandise. These units also introduced the slim design to
the standard cold food machine.

1990's
-
As manufacturers of vending equipment, we saw a
large need to provide a smaller food machine to vendor operators. This
allowed the vending operator to provide a cold food solution to their
location without paying a full price for a food machine. This unit was part
of our satellite series, and it used the host's coin mechanism and bill
acceptor.

Today
-
Food vendors come in all different shapes and
sizes from small vending machines to some of the largest cold and frozen food
machines. The industry trend is looking forward into the frozen food machine.
This is an added value to the vendor operator. The shelf life of food product
is much higher, as well as providing locations with more product variety like
ice cream.
