We opened our new remanufacturing division of
vending machines. The Wittern Group saw a need in the vending market to
provide quality refurbishment capabilities to the automatic merchandising
industry. We opened this division at our Grand Ave location and reworked used
vending machines that were primarily cigarette vendors.
1957

The Wittern Group relocated the refurbishing
division to our Clive facility. The manufacturing building was only 30,000
square feet. We were building used vending machines for large customers as
well as helping our finance division with their need to resell used vending
machines to the vendor operator.
1972
-
Our capacity demands for the used vending machine
market grew, and we needed to find a new facility that was just dedicated to
reconditioning used vending machines. We purchased an 80,000 square ft
facility in Waukee Iowa.
During this time we started refurbishing used snack vending machines, used
soda vending machines, used coffee vending machine, used cigarette vendors,
etc…
1990-
We opened our facility to refurbishing
our competitors' used vending machines for large customers. This allowed our
customers the ability to centralize their rework needs.With the expertise of our remanufacturing
division, we have become a leader in the used vending machine market.
Today

The Wittern used vending machine carries a one
year warranty after we recondition the vending machines. Since we have been
refurnishing our vending machines for many years after production we can
reassure our customers that our brand of merchandisers will be supported for
many years after production.
