Century Am Gumball Machine. 

Gumball Vending Machine 

1.  INSTALL PRICE LABEL &  

       REMOVE & SAVE RED CANDY WHEEL PARTS   

 

1.               Insert KEY into LOCK. Turn LOCK counter-clockwise to unscrew and remove LOCK from CENTER ROD. Remove LID.  

Caution: The container is no longer secured to the body.

2.               Locate the PRICE LABEL shipped in the CONTAINER. Peel off protective paper and install label inside the CONTAINER facing the customer.  

 

3.               Lift CONTAINER from BODY high enough to remove and save the red colored candy parts shipped inside. Set the CONTAINER back onto the BODY. The red colored candy parts are for use if vending candy sized products. For example:  

M&M, peanuts, Skittles etc.  

·        CANDY BRUSHOFF PLATE  

·        CANDY WHEEL  

 

4.     Go to step:  2. Vend candy or gumball  

2. VEND CANDY OR GUMBALL?  

  

 

MACHINE IS FACTORY SET FOR 1" GUMBALLS OR 1" CAPSULES.  

 

 PLEASE SELECT THE TYPE OF PRODUCT YOU WANT TO VEND.

3.  VEND 1" GUMBALLS or 1" CAPSULES. 

1.                Partially fill the CONTAINER with 1" gumballs.

2.      Insert coin in COIN MECH  

       and perform several test       

       vends. Machine should vend    

       one gumball. If machine  

       vends correctly, then      

       continue filling the  

       CONTAINTER.  

If machine does not vend correctly, go to: 

Check Dispensing Wheel  

3.    Place LID over CONTAINER  

     with CENTER ROD aligned  

     inside the keyhole of the LID. 

     Rotate LID until it seats  

     evenly on the CONTAINER.     

4.   Secure with LOCK. Do not                     

      over tighten. 

 

NOTE: If later on you decide to switch to vend candy products, then use the red candy wheel parts and follow the instructions:

4. CHECK DISPENSING WHEEL  

 

1.                Remove products from the  

      CONTAINER. Lift the 

      CONTAINER from the     

      BODY.

2.               Look under the CONTAINER BASE and check the position of the DISPENSING WHEEL.  

 

One of the empty compartments of the DISPENSING WHEEL must be aligned with the HOLE in the CONTAINER BASE. If it is not aligned, then turn the DISPENSING WHEEL until it is aligned.  

Very Important: In order for the coin mechanism and dispensing wheel to work properly, one of the empty compartments of the dispensing wheel must be aligned with the hole in the container base.  

3.     With the HOLE towards the front and without disturbing the alignment, carefully re-install CONTAINER over CENTER

4.     Partially fill the CONTAINER with 1" gumballs. 

5.     Insert coin in COIN MECH and perform several test vends. If machine vends correctly, then continue filling the CONTAINER. 

If  machine does not vend correctly go back to: 

Vend candy or gumball 

6.     Place LID over CONTAINER with CENTER ROD aligned inside the keyhole of the LID. Rotate LID until it seats evenly on the CONTAINER.  

7.     Secure with LOCK. Do not over   

        tighten! 

5. HOW TO ADJUST THE GUMBALL WHEEL   

 

1.                    Insert KEY into LOCK. Turn LOCK counter-clockwise to unscrew and remove LOCK from CENTER ROD.  Remove LID.

2.               Remove products from the CONTAINER. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the two (2) CONNECTING RODS. Grasp the RIM with both hands and lift the RIM, CONTAINER, TOP RING and CONNECTING RODS from the BODY.  

 

3.                Remove the following gray gumball wheel parts. 

·    GUMBALL BRUSH OFF PLATE 

·    GUMBALL WHEEL

4.              Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the three (3) ADJUSTMET SCREWS on top of the GUMBALL WHEEL located next to each empty compartment.

5.               Rotate the ADJUSTMENT WHEEL. Tighten the ADJUSTMENT SCREWS. The maximum product size that can be vended is a 1" gumball (850 count) or a 1" capsule. 

6.               Check to make sure that the slot on the RISER is aligned with the HOLE in the CONTAINER BASE.  

 

Important: Empty compartment in gumball wheel must be aligned (centered) to hole in compartment base. 

7.               Install the GUM BALL WHEEL with one of the empty compartments aligned (centered) to the HOLE in the COMPARTMENT BASE.  

 

 

Important: One of the empty compartments must be aligned over the hole in the container base for the coin mechanism and gumball wheel to work properly. 

 

8.               Install the GUMBALL BRUSH OFF PLATE so that the screw heads are showing on top and the two springs are closest to the front of the vendor (towards the COIN MECH). See illustration.

9.                Re-install the RIM, CONTAINER, and TOP RING and CONNECTING RODS. Tighten the CONNECTING RODS. See illustration.

10.          Partially fill the CONTAINER with product and perform at least five (5) test vends. When the machine vends the product correctly, then continue filling the CONTAINER. 

  

11.      Place LID over CONTAINER with CENTER ROD aligned inside the keyhole of the LID. Rotate LID until it seats evenly on the CONTAINER.  

  

12.    Secure with LOCK. Do not over tighten!  

  

6. HOW TO VEND CANDY  

 

1.               Insert KEY into LOCK. Turn LOCK counter­clockwise to unscrew and remove LOCK from CENTER ROD. Remove LID.  

      Caution: The container is no longer secured to the body.

2.                Remove products from the CONTAINER. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the two (2) CONNECTING RODS. Grasp the RIM with both hands and lift the RIM, CONTAINER, TOP RING and CONNECTING RODS from the BODY.  

 

3.               Remove the three (3) gray gumball wheel parts shown below. Save them for when you vend gumballs in the future.

4.                Locate the two (2) red colored candy attachments that were supplied with the machine: 

  • CANDY BRUSH OFF PLATE
  • CANDY WHEEL

5.                Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the ADJUSTMENT SCREWS from the CANDY WHEEL. Pull the ADJUSTMENT PLATE and then rotate and set it to the desired opening. The ADJUSTMENT PLATE can be completely removed if vending large products. Re-install ADJUSTMENT SCREWS.  

  

Example: Approximately 20 pieces of Skittles, M&M's or peanuts if set at largest opening. Approximately 10 pieces at smallest opening.  

6.                Install CANDY WHEEL to the CONTAINER BASE with one of the empty compartments aligned (centered) to the HOLE in the COMPARTMENT BASE. 

  

  

Important: One of the empty compartments must be aligned over the hole in the container base for the coin mechanism and candy wheel to work properly. 

Install candy wheel to the conatiner base. 

7.               Install CANDY BRUSH PLATE over the CANDY WHEEL. The spring side must be towards the front of the vendor.

8.                Re-install the RIM, CONTAINER, and TOP RING and CONNECTING RODS. Tighten the CONNECTING RODS.  

  

Re-install container 

9.                Partially fill the CONTAINER with product and perform at least five (5) test vends. When the machine vends the product correctly, then continue filling the CONTAINER.  

  

10.          Place LID over CONTAINER with CENTER ROD aligned inside the keyhole of the LID. Rotate LID until it seats evenly on the CONTAINER.  

  

11.    Secure with LOCK. Do not over tighten!
