PRODUCTION WORKERS
Fawn Manufacturing
Fawn Manufacturing is looking for production workers to start immediately.
Manufacturing experience a plus, but not required. We are looking to fill the following positions:

  • Forklift (1st Shift)
  • Assembly (1st shift)
  • Press Operator (1st shift)

Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 – 75 lbs., physically able to stand for up to (8) hours, do bending, twisting, grasping, and have the ability to grip sheet metal, pick/pack or assemble parts. Must be punctual and have a good attendance record. Education: high school or equivalent.

1st shift positions available: 1st shift (7:30am – 4:00pm). Pay increase and benefits after passing probationary period (120 days). Equal Opportunity Employer

Quality Technician

The Wittern Group, a leading manufacturer of vending machines and dispensing units, has an immediate opening for a Quality Technician.

This position will audit and inspect products and processes to assess compliance to established requirements, report results of audits and inspections in order to drive continual improvement and maintain control of measuring equipment, documentation and records. Additional responsibilities include: preparation of rejected supplier components for return to supplier, perform process audits for compliance requirements and help promote the understanding of quality information and training tools within organization.

Qualified candidates must have previous quality inspection experience, ability to read engineering drawings and specifications, successful use of inspection tools and instruments and a diversified knowledge of inspection and control methods. Excellent problem solving and math skills. Solid computer literacy background, along with written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be focused on quality and safety, and a team player. We offer a competitive benefits and compensation package. Customer Service Manager

The Wittern Group, the world’s largest manufacturer of automated dispensing equipment for the food service, medical, MRO and PPE markets, has an immediate opening for a Customer Service Manager. This position is a newly created role and will work in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Quality, Finance and Shipping functions.

Responsibilities include: managing and facilitating all customer related issues of finished goods, coordinating documents and information control for customized orders, validating accuracy of orders/shipments to customers, maintenance of shipping information, managing key customer accounts, accountable for inventory and distribution reports. Additionally, the CSM will lead and direct the team to consistently focus on continuous improvement and achieve market-leading levels of customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention. Experience in customer service, systems integration, resolution and negotiation and data management as related to orders, receiving, transfers and adjustments required.

Qualified candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be computer literate (MS Word, Excel), and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated, detail oriented and a team player. Lawn/Groundskeeper

The Wittern Group, a leading manufacturer of vending machines, has an immediate opening for a Lawn/Groundskeeper. Responsibilities will include: maintaining company grounds; handling debris; assisting with snow removal, landscaping (including weeding and fertilizer applications); assisting in the cleanliness and professional appearance of all common areas and amenities as needed. Maintenance standards include awareness of physical conditions of company related properties and applying corrective actions. Operation of lawn mower/landscaping and snow removal equipment as needed. This is a full-time, year round position.

Qualified candidates will have previous grounds keeping or landscaping experience. Must be mechanically inclined and able to work as part of a team and independently on projects. Demonstrated customer service skills and professionalism in working with all employees, vendors and guests. Position requires availability to work any shift as needed, including weekends and evenings, and report to work in emergency situations. Observation of all safety and sanitation rules when performing job duties is mandatory. Good written and verbal communication skills required. Must possess a valid and current driver’s license. Candidate will be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and possess the ability to complete tasks on a timely basis and follow directions. In addition to grounds keeping, this position will work along with housekeeping, maintenance, mowing crew and farm staff as needed.

Value Stream Manager

The Wittern Group, a leading manufacturer of vending machines and dispensing units, has an immediate opening for a Value Stream Manager. This newly created position will lead the value stream representing a family of products supplied to customers and a series of activities that are carried out along that value stream including creating and updating desired future state for assigned value stream or assembly line.

Position will have supervisory responsibility for manufacturing GEMBA metrics that provide the roadmap for achieving assigned goals. The activities include:

– Supporting new product development (APQP) and launch process by providing manufacturability input, representing production needs and concerns, building prototypes and designing equipment.
– Manage projects from concept to completion including CAD designs, searching and locating suppliers, writing specifications, obtaining quotes, scheduling contractors, and managing project timelines and budgets.
– Work with design engineering for development of work instructions, product manuals and product operational guides.
– Champion continuous improvement programs utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, implement statistical process controls, provide leadership of key project teams working with multiple functional disciplines throughout the organization and lead daily problem solving teams to better meet customer needs.
– Determine processes, identify the materials and supplies to be used, and designs and builds appropriate fixtures necessary for efficient and cost effective manufacturing.
– Responsible for planning, specifying, designing and implementation of manufacturing systems. Must be current with respect to engineering technologies in system integration and manufacturing systems engineering to assure that the company’s manufacturing systems produce quality products, remain cost competitive, and continually improve.
– Provide instructions and direction to tool and die makers, set-up technicians, and maintenance technicians in the course of projects.
– Support the plants and production personnel in their goals to improve safety, quality, delivery, and reduce costs and scrap.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent education / experience.
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years total experience in progressively responsible positions in the field of
specialty.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment dealing with new product development
projects transitioning through prototype, pilot and production builds.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish – a plus.
• Experience with solid modeling CAD development tools, a plus.
• Experience with Solid Works, preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of various types of manufacturing equipment and the limitations.
• Experience working with other engineers and designers to define constraints and requirements.
• Experience in LEAN environment, a plus.
• Proven analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
• Solid organizational abilities, attention to detail.
• Proficient in the knowledge and use of MS Office (Word, Excel)

Value Stream Manager (A)

The Wittern Group, a leading manufacturer of vending machines and dispensing units, has an immediate opening for a Value Stream Manager (A). This newly created position will lead the value stream representing a family of products supplied to customers and a series of activities that are carried out along that value stream including creating and updating desired future state for assigned value stream.

Position will have supervisory responsibility for the Waukee subassembly and remanufacturing facility. The activities in this facility include:
– Receiving, evaluating and refurbishing equipment that is returned to the facility as the result
of freight damage, repossession, trade in or contract refurbishing projects for customers;
– Providing manufacturing support for the main production facility by doing sub assembly
operations, assembling and testing refrigeration systems and other support activities as may
from time to time be required;
– Full manufacture and assembly of specialty products and short run prototype units.
– Supporting new product development (APQP) and launch process by providing manufacturability
input, representing production needs and concerns.
– Leadership in development, implementation and operational responsibility for GEMBA metrics
(safety, quality, OTD, cost) that provide the roadmap for achieving assigned goals.
– Supports the plants and production personnel in their goals to improve safety, quality,
delivery, and reduce costs and scrap.
